In response to many inquires I’ve seen on the “Textpattern Forums”:http://forum.textpattern.com/ I decided to write a plugin for “Textpattern”:http://www.textpattern.com/ that brings the most popular articles based on the records from the txp_log table.
Keep in mind that the following is my first plugin based on the “hpw_most_popular_articles”:http://textpattern.org/plugins/195/hpwmostpopulararticles ideas, “hpw_most_popular_articles”:http://textpattern.org/plugins/195/hpwmostpopulararticles is no longer available.
Nevertheless, jas_popular_articles has worked for me and hopefully will be useful for you.

Nice plugin but I have a question: does it require the native TXP logging function switched on?
I’ve heard that disabling the logging function in TXP will speed up your site’s performance.

I’de like to output only articles of one section (maybe blog). This would be a really nice feature, I’m looking forward.

Hi, I like the idea of your plugin. Since it was not working for me (as mentioned in the forum), I corrected a few things.
